I am so blessed to have been his student! The subject was English, but the lessons were about life and being a man. He could have taught any subject. He could read minds and influenced me in so many ways that can't be numbered! Looking back it seems like he could easily have been teaching biology or human anatomy as he demonstrated how important the trapezius is to the human body!

I have read many Edgar Allen Poe works since high school, but 'The Raven' we memorized in his class never meant as much as it did then. He taught football yet I don't think he was ever in the field. Love that man! Another La Riviere? Nevermore!
